Wow, you could have pulled this scene directly out of my MERP campaigns!Β Always did like old Dunedain ruins, and my players learned to both love and hate them. The dark-clad ranger (based on your well-garbed friend) looks properly pensive and roguish. I like his southpaw-worn longsword and his sizable pouch!

Ah, sweet MERP. That's a few years ago. Love that game. Now we play Song of Ice and Fire, which is a very good system (in my opinion).

I will have to try that game out at a gaming con sometimes, if you think it is good.

Haunting image, the ruins of a lost civilization. Great detail. I assume this is Fornost, capital of Arthedain, destroyed by the forces of Angmar before the army of Gondor arrived to help.

Thanks. Glad you like it.
It could very well be. I always assumed it would be Annuminas, but Fornost might be more 'realistic' since its location would be nearer the lands he'd be patrolling.

Another fine piece. I particularly like how you juxtapose the statue on one side of the wall with the living ranger on the other side.Β Sort of showing what was and what is.

That's some serious art there!
To think numenor used to be so great!
Even the fall of greater Gondor is a tragedy
Keep up the good work!

I'm sure it would. I'll be looking forward to that rendition. Such a pity this plot wasn't in the movies, though I can quite see why.

Amazing piece, you can definitely feel a sense of "greatness lost" here. This just screams Numenor! I knew it was a ranger from the north even before I saw the title and full-size! Fantastic job!

Exactly. The elves are sort of emotionally unreachable, where the Dunedain have this very human down-to-earth like struggle to survive. I like that.
