I've been meaning to practice more fanart recently, so I thought i would draw Zakuro from tokyo mew mew - or in that mew mew power thing i think she is called 'renee'...
Anywhoo, if you know me, you'll know i like to overcomplicate things for myself, so I made her a lolita-styled outfit! And just to get myself used to tone i have been practicing colouring using my letraset's
hence the greyscale-ness ~
Aywhoo, comms and crit's much appreciated! This one took me about an hour or so to complete

this is hime lolita yes? ^^ you did a very good job, except for the point of lolita being to not show much skin but still look fabulous. other than that, amazing~ what is that thingy on her bellybutton though? (I haven't read/watched tokyo mew-mew so IDK about that kind of thing.)

I would assume that it is, though im still learning alot of terms!
The reason i chose the outfit was just a lolita variation of her standard one, though i agree that it could have been less flashy!
The mark on her belly-button is a symbol from the anime, what it signifies i havent the faintest!

mhmm, I really like lolita. you got the basics down, especially for hime, which is really hard. (hime is princess lolita) long socks, as opposed to short, frilly ones, which are assoiated with the Sissy style (something that isn't lolita at all) and generally just fabulous glam- which himes loooooove.

I love lolita too, though ive only ever mimcked styles which is why i was worried with this one! I do love the idea f overly lacy, ribbones and exaggerated lolita, so i would guess hime is more my lolita style, i also adore longer socks! I guess you learn something new every day

mhmm, ^^ lolita is all about just having fun. though it is bloody expensive. >>' I personally like classic lolita, I love the little tea dresses and A-line cuts.

ahh, that is too true! I have a couple of lolita cosplays, and many books / magazines on it, but it is so pricey! Though I do like to craft little lolita-styled things like hairclips etc, which helps, but the major-labelled stuff is scary!
I also adore gothic lolita, though i have a habit of drawing cute things!

I like gothic too~ but I can make little acessories for lolita, like purses and stuff... hmm, I could probably sell that kinda thing. *shrug* but I'm too lazy!
