Yes very good advice for a giant or normal sized person when picking up a tiny before attempting to pick them up this way.

good example: "oh no a cat" scoop - pocket drop - "sorry about that"

Ah yes that's a good example why you might pick them up like this when you first meet and stuff. When you are rescuing them. ^^
Other then that giant or human should be really slow and patient during any other time. Even if they are really excited in meeting their first human or tiny.
