river mermaids have a more ell'esc' tail and prefer fresh shallower waters of river tributaries. they're very agile and often catch prey stuck in the mangroves and other river vegetation. they are found in most places, from frigged mountain streams, and jungle rivets, to swampy channels... thus their color varies greatly depending on location.

Not bad looking, and very "fish-fin" like ears. For some reason I see her as the left half of some sort of logo, say with a naga on the right side. Something you'd find on the cover of an expensive book or the like.
