But damn my new dream is to join a contemporary dance group and dance with pretty girls, I am so fucking gay for dancing, it's my favorite thing.
I swear, I originally did not have this nor the previous comic planned, I only did this because FuliciousTM and I both wanted those heart stamps for our guys. I coud've just drawn the requirements but I can't help but want to form everything into a flowing story. Damn, in wyngro I just say yes to literally all offers for relationships and ideas and then sticky tape it all together and slap it into a tightly-packed comics.
Or maybe I'm just creating a complex web of ships that will all play a role in future plot developements

But ye, hope you enjoyed all the posts you got this weekend! Now I will take a short break from major plots to focus on school and other art and then I'll start a whole new book of events in summer. Expect re-designs and a new character ooo

You tell me, I spent like 10 years on this language to get perfect at it. Hundreds of hours were spent remembering its irregularities.
Usually irregular spelling is because of history. As an example, "meat" and "meet" sound the same now, but they were not in Middle English. "night" sounded like "niht" (like "Nacht" in German).
So English spelling was mostly fixed at the time of widespread printing press, which was also when the Great Vowel Shift was happening and that make spelling more complicated, because some spellings spells out words as pronounced before the shift, and some after, that makes the same sounds have different spellings.
According to etymology, in Old English, "taught" was "tahte", "thought" was "geþoht", so they used to be pronounced differently.

So basically as I suspected.
Would be unrealistic to hope that a language so old, widespread and full of bits and pieces from other languages would ever be able to fix all its irregularities.
Latvian was considered a lower class language spoken by cheap labor farmers who were never supposed to learn to read or study in universities anyway. It only changed as recently as the mid-to-late 19th century when a group of intellectuals decided to not be embarrassed of their Latvian heritage and start printing magazines and books in Latvian. And even nowadays if they decide to change the spelling of a single irregular word it’s not that hard to get the new message across to just 2 million people.
So there are not a lot of irregularities, just a heck ton of grammar laws and nearly all words are written as they sound.

Ohh that sounds nice. I looked at Latvian a bit but it's too unfamiliar to me.
I studied French a bit and French spelling is super bad, worse than English.

Haha, I've heard the horror stories of learning French.
Jeez, that video nearly gave me a headache //or maybe that's just because I'm still sick. who knows// I hear a lot of people confidently talking about how many new languages they aspire to learn, but call me unambitions because I do not see myself learning a new language any time soon. Difficult, tedious, my memory sucks and I wouldn't know where to use it, so far everything that would interest me has english translations.

I loove putting characters into situations that make them react differently, it's so much fun. I'm deffo gonna have a bunch of situations like that in season 2, shit will get dramatic.
