Baby male Amur leopard called Cipisek/Rayo (Panthera pardus orientalis, Levhart mandzusky) from ZOO Olomouc, Czech republic
not the best quality - but this animal is SO rare, that I have to share it!Story of the photo: People, I am so happy
I visited pavilion of big cats and I spotted lovely tiny fluffy ball near huge paws of adult female. I was so shocked - this kitty was ONLY one month old! 
his mommy took him from the box only two days ago before I saw him. The baby was so small that it was moving with problems and was very adorable Czech republic is super power in breeding extremely endangered Amur leopards! Thank you for your comments and faves

Name: Amur leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis)
Location: forests of Eastern Asia
Size: 1.9 m long body + 95 cm lond tail, 80 cm high weight: 60 kg
Diet: roe and sika deer, hares
Conservation status: Critically Endangered - facing an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild
Interesting facts: there are ONLY some 30 (THIRTY!!!) Amur leopards in the wild! | Amur leopard is the biggest from all leopard subspecies | Amur leopards have blue eyes | only female takes care of the cubs | in the wild, leopards live for 10-15 years, but they can live 20 years in captivity
ZOO: There are only 17 pureblooded Amur leopards in the World’s ZOOs – and 5 of them live in ZOO Prague in the Czech republic. 4 Czech ZOOs keep Amur leopards (Prague, Usti, Olomouc and Decin)

Marvelous photo of a great animal. I hope there are enough in captivity that zoos around the world can swop them to prevent inbreeding. Tragically large numbers of species in this century will survive only in humane zoos.

I am very happy that your country is successful in breeding them. I have heard 3 babies were born in France. I hope the Philly Zoo here in the US (in PA) can succeed with breeding their female Emma!

they are such beautiful creatures....
if only those crazy cat people (ones that have like 5-20 cats -_-) actually took the time to save these wild gorgeous animals instead of breeding (or enabling them to) and dirtying the surrounding area...

I think at this point it might be a good idea to collect as many wild ones as possible and start an intensive breeding program before re-releasing them, much like what was done for the California Condor.

I had never heard of these until I saw the WWF appeal. I really want to adopt one, but I live in Ireland so it's not possible. This cub is so cute! Can I try and draw a picture based on it? I'll give you credit if you like, since I can't draw and it'll come out horrible.
