Hey everyone, here's a new concept! I decided to do Gengar this week.This was a really nice challenge, I've never done anything "ghostly" before, so it was a lot of fun experimenting and trying to figure out a look I liked. For the background I went with a creepy tower in the front, as in the anime Gengar is first found in the tower of terror, so it seemed fitting. I hope you like it!

But it's a very interesting and unique concept for Gengar!

Thanks you! Im glad you like it ^^ In the beginning I wasnt even going to make a face, just have darkness in the cloak, kind of like a ring wraith from LOTR, but once I sketched something out I really liked the look of it xD

Awesome design, I love him so much, although I wouldn't want to met him at dark night, he reminds too much mythological Tanatos. But still awesome

I really like the concept of this one! It's totally different from other gijinkas of Gengar, where usually he's some kind of Cheshire-ish bat/furry-eared animal, and not so much of a creepy phantom. The picture is definitely Gengar-ish without throwing in every single one of his telltale attributes. Plus, I like how it shows the more sinister side of the Pokemon. A lot of people give him the "prankster" archetype, but the dude is malicious, placing curses and taking lives/souls, outright snuffing life--perfect for a reaper/dullahan concept, which you have here!

Thank you so much! I've noticed a lot of people do "bat like" gijinka/versions of gengar, which I've never really understood. Gengar doesnt strike me as batlike at all xD I felt a reaper like design is much more fitting

I like this idea of Gengar! I like how you gave him Grim Reaper-style robes, and I especially like how the hem of the robes blends in with the ground. It's like he's rising out of it, rising out of the spirit world to spread terror and fright to the mortal one. I also like how you made his hands, the moon, and the windows of the haunted house in the background glowy. I also like Gengar's facial expression with his trademark big smile--he looks like he's saying to the viewer, "You're next." In that case, I better run!!

Why thank you! I tried to give his handds/face a ghostly glow ^^ Same with his robes, but more of a smokey effect, it was a lot of fun to do
