Description In Xh'azáaxh'l society, clan is considered of great import. Where one comes from, and where one always has a home. They live off the land, hunting and living together.

Inter-clan marriage is commonplace in Axh’lqyà, traditionally between men and women, however more progressive clans treat marriage as not limited between men and women.

Stated by the Xh'azáaxh'l themselves there are many tribes within Axh’lqyà, some are more ethnically distinct, others are not. For most of their history a majority of clan relations have been peaceful, but like all things that isn't necessarily consistent all the time.

Xh'azáaxh'l Clans:

RÈZÝYZ (REE-sis)

Qxp’a’l
(HEH shh-p ah-ll) - The southernmost clan in the Rèzýyz enclave, situated on the northwestern faces of the Dàrr Mountains. An alpine clan it’s among the more isolated, rarely seen or interacted with.

Yloxh’ì
- (EYE loh-KH ee) - Situated between Lake Méezt´ and the Northern Dàrr River, it is among the more guarded of the clans. They serve as a vanguard against invading forces. Among the clans they’re renowned for their prowess with the sling, and staff-sling

Qeùò
(HEH you-or) - Among the most stalwart of clans they historically served as a front against the Na'ga during the Serpentine War.

T’xh’yz (T KH eye-ss) - Famed clan of Xh'azáaxh'l magos, responsible for founding the House of the Black Sun, on their island of Xh’zráax (KH ss-rah-sh).

Zygùp’ (ss-eye-g you-oop) - The Black and grey skinned Xh'azáaxh'l, known as the quietest of their kin.


T'ÈLOÝY (tell-oh-EH)

Beqóom
(BEH-ohm) - South of the Oxh’lqu River, within its delta, Beqóom are well known for their expertise in hydroponics through their territories wetlands.

Yòu (eye-OR-ooo) - The northernmost clan in T´èloýy, its territory is the westernmost peaks and everything east until the headwaters of the Oxh’lqu River.


ÚUTÉA (OOO-tee-AH) 

Qy’zo
(heh EH-EH soh) - The easternmost clan in Úutèa, bordered to the north by the Lower Xáaz river. They were the ones to establish Mòráalxh’ì. First it served as a trade city, before it became the capital in 25,000 AA, after the Great Fragmentation.


VÈY (veh-EYE)

Dyaezè
(die-ss-eh) - Known as the “Iron-Tribes” with the Ýyntì, and the Xh’xt’. Situated on the southern and western portion of the Ìnxa (EEN-sha) Plateau, its southern areas are the highest on the plateau. Their eastern territory sits above the Zrýyk River. During the Serpentine War their territory was strictly monitored, for Naga incursion, due to their proximity to the Forgotten Lands.

Ýyntì (in-tee) - Known as the “Iron-Tribes” with Dyaezè. Situated on the centre of the Ìnxa Plateau, it monitors the Bo’ù (boh-YOU) Corridor at the southern end of the Dàrr Mountains, that connects Axh’lqyà with the Great Liirikiv Khaganate to the east. Its northern territory meets Xh’èxýyl Lake, where it has a thriving fishing culture particularly with the city of Àmy. The Ýyntì were among the first of the tribes to stand against the Na’ga. Physically tough and powerful, their members joined the fight first as a vanguard. They have warm hued skin; primarily with yellows, and oranges. Well-known as masters of mining and ore, they take their duty of smelting ore and purifying it into metal so seriously that they have had many generations work as miners and metal-masters. Geographically the eastern side of their territory is geothermally active, with ancient lava tubes and lava fountains.

Xh’xt’ (KH sh-T) - West of Clan Ýyntì, Xh’xt’ are an alpine clan dwelling on the western faces of the Dàrr Mountains.


XH'ÝYDRÙ (KH-id-roo)

Ap’sav
(ahp-sahv) - The northernmost clan of Xh’ýydrù, they control the fortress of Zùret, and the Alèmqúu (AH-lem-hoo) Pass. Its territory covers the eastern end of the Oxh’lqu Alps. Among the most martial-minded of the clans, they frequently serve in the Xh'aq-zìa, or as mercenaries, in their famed hoplite units.


XH'ÙA'NÌON (KH oo-a’ nee-on)

Lyp’
(LIE-p) - South of Clan Nyt’p’l across the Upper Xáaz, is Clan Lyp’, astute traders they frequently meet with Clan T’zxh’xa carting their goods for sale in Raxh’ýyn. They founded the city of Raxh’ýyn as a maritime trading hub for the entire Mist-Fall Firth, in the

Nyt’p’l
(nigh-T ip-ll) - Well known for their expertise as hunters and archers, they’re frequently employed by the Onyx Throne during times of war.

T’zxh’xa
(T! ss-KH sha) - An alpine clan whose territory extends the breadth of the Xh’anùrèq Mountains. T’zxh’xa are known by their vibrant head feathers, that they let grow past their shoulders, and tie back.

Ùxh’zlúu
(YOU-KH sl-uh) - Is the westernmost clan of the Xh’ùa’nìon enclave, fairly militarist they’re among the first to answer the call of the Onyx Throne to war. According to their oral histories, during the time of the Exa’lys Domain they commonly served in the armies.


XH´YÉEL (KH eye-el)

Óoèxa
(oh-ESH-a) - Living on the two smallest islands in the Xh’yéel enclave, they’re allied to clan Qyìdò. Historically heretical, they frequently raided the mainland clans to enslave their kin, which peaked during the Serpentine War, where they inadvertently helped their kin by enslaving the enemy in swathes. Post the Serpentine War they became heavily xenophobic, where non-clan members are advised to stay away from their islands, because there is no guarantee of their safety. Rumours abound that during moonless nights, Xh'azáaxh'l who wander the shores facing their lands are stolen.

Qyìdò (HAI-dor) - Situated on the largest island in the Xh’yéel enclave. Among the more xenophobic of the clans, they're staunch adherents of the Xh’aulit'q sect. Historically heretical, during the Serpentine War, where they inadvertently helped their kin by enslaving the enemy in swathes.


ZEÓO (SS-eo)

Aúuxh’a
 (ah-UCKH a) - Expert beast tamers. They're seen around animals, often selling beasts of burden for trade or training.

Óoxh’rùp’
 (o KH roo-p’) - Famed clan that live in the Zeóo. Observant artisans, renowned for their beautiful and intricate art, and eye for detail.

Uýyp’qa (oo-ih-p-ha) - The easternmost clan in the Zeóo, an alpine clan, it monitors the Dàvat Pass. Historically the clan was the first among the Xh'azáaxh'l to meet the Liirikiv at the Dàvat Pass during the War of the Dàrr in 1Ä 100.


ZRÈlÝY (SS-rell-ee)

Òa’alp’ (OR ah-ah ll-p) - Situated on the southwestern shores of the Zrèlýy enclave, they share the richest source of silver in Axh’lqyà. Along with the rest of the Zrèlýy clans they operate the major cities, selling their goods.

Ùóoxl (YOU o sh-ll) - Situated on the southeastern shores of the Zrèlýy enclave, this clan has the richest source of silver in Axh’lqyà. Among the wealthiest, it contributes to the wealth and influence in Zrèlýy. They’re largely responsible for the usage of silver as currency in Axh’lqyà and the larger Dàrr Covenant. Along with the rest of the Zrèlýy clans they operate the major cities, selling their goods.

Ybrù (IBE-roo) - Situated on the northern shores of the Zrèlýy enclave. Adept traders who visit the clans, trading their goods. Along with the rest of the Zrèlýy clans they operate the major cities, selling their goods.
