So... Like I said, going for more dynamic poses. ^^
Yeah, this is where we started trying to make the characters really look more dynamic and expression in how they move and act, minimizing just standing around with their arms limply at their sides. It can be kind of exhausting at times, but trying to make that a consistent groove for the art. The first two panels especially sell that, with Alex being pissed off by shoving the bag and flailing his arms up in a "FUCKING DONE WITH THIS" sort of motion. Very fun page to draw simply as a testing ground for this sort of posing.
This is also really getting how a lot of how Alex is handling the gender issue... This has been simmering and set up for a while, but now finally being addressed... I should really let Martin talk about that.
We see more of the rain on the windows, the brick surface on the walls, and even a thunderclap that lights the left half of Alex in the last panel. All comes together for a lot of good visual sights. Plus the hidden-eyes thing with Alex. Always love that effect. ^^

So, there's a lot to unpack here.
I think first off it bares drawing attention to a couple of previous pages. First there's this one -

As plans were coming together for the direction this chapter is taking both Alex's character and the story at large, I got reminded of this page and thought it stood out as a very good demonstration of the concept, that Alex finds fun in slipping into a more traditionally feminine style of behavior. Alex wears skirts and stuff all the time of course, and a conscious choice is that while spending the last couple of chapters dealing with this that hasn't been happening.
A second page to draw attention to is right here, when Sareena mentioned that Alex was wanting to talk to Daryl -

Daryl would likely be able to empathize with a lot of Alex is feeling given he's trans in his own right. I might end up showing that conversation as filler between this chapter and the next? I'm not entirely sure, I'm kind of split between that and of doing some recapping of something in Black Princess that'll be relevant to the next chapter's proceedings. Maybe a little bit of both?
Either way I very much wanted to demonstrate here that while Alex does find positives in living life as Dorothy, this scenario isn't acceptable and settling for it isn't an option. The next page will be going into that further and giving more of a clear indication of how this adds together with the way Alex has been thinking and feeling.
Oh, right, one other part I want to call attention to.

"You didn't do it at the bank but this time you're getting very annoyed when I call him that little pet name. And that made it worse."
That was the part that made it worse, Ivy was digging into the wound further by way of her pronoun choice in that moment.
