Adam's Comments: Yeaaaaah, sorry folks. Burnout hit us pretty hard, along with just regular life stuff so we're taking a minor step-back. Fortunately the crossover format lets us do it a really specific way! This should hopefully give us some much-needed breathing room to recoop.

We kinda didn't wanna even consider this until we were done with the introductions, which have thankfully wrapped up so here we are! Now we get the subject of if the heroes should give in and pass the lock around. Y'know, just in case....

Just a lot more fun back-and-forth stuff that we've had fun seeing. Hope everyone here enjoys. ^^

..... I'm entirely too amused by just how weird Jake and Christina look wearing normal clothes amidst all these ridiculously-dressed super-people.

Martin's Comments: Yeah, we were kind of conscious of the possibility of this before we even announced the scheduling for it but it's just been kind of an exhausting chapter to work on having to juggle so many characters and while it's still manageable for now, it's kind of just going to get more intensive when we actually get into the action. This felt like a good place to take a step back and just kind of ease up on the scheduling for awhile.

But yeah, this is why Christina is here - effectively being an intentionally helpless target! Kind of loooong been planned Christina would be involved in this chapter in that capacity so feels good to spell that out after having to kind of tap dance around it in the previous chapter to avoid explaining it twice.

Incidentally the detail about magical artifacts having a way of making themselves found previously came up in Wright as Rayne right here . Feels like one of those things that makes a lot of sense to explain why, "Just chuck it in a hole somewhere," isn't the go-to for magical artifacts like this, having that cause more problems than it solves is just a good way to handle the logistical question that always comes up with this kind of thing.
