Victory may be in sight... but you will never see the danger coming from behind...Ocarina of Time Link vs the Redeads
So, I the The Legend of Zelda series so much.
In Ocarina of Time (my first encounter with Redeads in the series) I was terrified like many monsters in the game I was like, "Who in this cruel world would create these?!?!?! " I would rather face this! : ........ I'm kidding... Well, anyways, it seemed that when I was finally able to beat one (because I just ran away when I found them as young link) it didn't matter because the one behind me killed me so any attempts to beat them were put off for a while. I bet that many of you gamers out there have also had maybe even the smallest fear of these things. I mean come on! haha

Could you IMAGINE a Zelda game where one of the bosses in one of the dungeons was like, the most terrifying and capable of ALL redeads?

I used to be utterly terrified of them when I was younger, especially the ones from Wind Waker. Until I encountered the Dead Hand, nothing topped their terribleness.
Now I'm not scared of them anymore (but I think my brother still is, even if it's just their moaning)
Did you know that in Ocarina of Time you can completely avoid them sensing your presence if you walk really slowly? Or wear the iron boots? If you equip a weapon or sheath/unsheath your sword they immediately attack you. Apparently they're blind...

OMG I wish I knew all of those tricks back when I played the game! lol that really would have saved me. I think they still terrify me but that means they are a great creation to do so lol
eek the ones in windwaker were awful too lol so yeah, I guess that stress isn't really gone yet! haha

Yep!! I just found those out a few years ago.
At least I knew fire works really well against them.
The ones in Wind Waker were unnecessarily creepy, especially in the basement of that beach house....they were out of place there!!

Did you know that arrows don't hurt them? Fire arrows yes, but only because of the fire.

That really was odd. I can say I was happy to see the redeads reused in another game but they were out of place like you said haha. I think there were some on a ghost boat but I can't remember to well.

Yep. The basement was really out of place, but they were fine in the Earth Temple and Ghost Ship, since they fit the theme of those 2 places.

I hate those creatures too--the first time I played OoT, I nearly died from one because I had trouble escaping from its grasp.

oh yeah it is really terrifying at points as we all know. Not to mention the redeads, there is this thing to worry about: the dead hand mini boss and the entire well temple and the shadow temple! Those were certainly terrifying times haha I heard that for the 3DS they toned down all the blood detail on the monster and possibly took away a lot of the horror detail of the temple beneath the well.

I remember seeing one for the first time and thinking they were the statues or something. And when I came close to one thinking I could examine it and get some info, the SCREAM OF HORROR paralyzed me in the game and I was smashing all the buttons to break free and run away as far as possible
