Description The second meme I've ever done! Yay!

10. Madame Medusa from The Rescuers. I love her mainly due to how over-the-top she is.

9. Divatox from Power Rangers Turbo. My third-favorite PR villainess.

8. Astronema from Power Rangers in Space. My second favorite PR villainess.

7. Ursula from The Little Mermaid. One of the most memorable and well-known Disney villainesses.

6. Lady Tremaine from Cinderella. Like Frollo, she's great cause she's human.

5. The Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Again, human, but she actually tried to kill Snow White. Plus, she was the first Disney villain.

4. The Spirit from The Care Bears Movie. Care Bears has come up with some pretty scary villains, and this one is no exception.

3. Mirage from the Aladdin TV series. I loved this show as a kid, and Mirage was one of the more serious villains, next to Mozenrath.

2. Nightmare Moon from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Definitely the scariest thing to come out of the show (Except for some fans and fanworks, but I really don't want to talk about them).

1. Rita Repulsa from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. My favorite PR villainess and best PR villainess ever.

Dang, should've included Isis from Krypto the Superdog.

Ursula is the reason I don't watch the Little Mermaid. She's not a terrible villain, far from it. She's an amazing villain, but she scares me.

Rita Repulsa, I see? X3 I personally lean more towards Lord Zedd as the best PR villain, but we all have our preferences. ^^

Rita Repulsa: An "Evil, knows it, and loves it" type villain, played to the hilt and hammy to the max. Which is what makes her work and makes her scary.

Great list!

As a longtime FMA fan, I feel obligated to put Lust rught up there with 'em. It's just a suggestion, but it is your list, after all.

Wait a second - you perceive Nightmare Moon, the poster child of Nightmare Retardant by way of Large Ham, as scary, but give no mention of Discord in the male villain list? You're kind of strange...

writemaster93 In reply to Ospero [2012-02-08 14:28:11 +0000 UTC]

1. Nightmare Moon was way scarier and scarier-looking than Discord.
2. Nightmare Moon wanted to bring eternal night, which would have fatal consequences on the population, whereas Discord wanted eternal chaos which is vexing but not lethal.
3. Nightmare Moon is sinister and threatening, Discord can also be sinister, but acts goofy most of the time.

1. Um...your mileage can and will vary on this one. True, she looked mighty intimidating, but she was smaller than Discord, and her ham-and-cheese voice acting certainly was anything but scary. Also, Celestia trusted Twilight to be able to handle Nightmare Moon; she was afraid of Discord. Ever-so-slight qualitative difference there.

2. Discord said the "new and improved Ponyville" was just the first steps. We have no idea what else might have happened afterwards.

3. Basically a repeat of point 1.

In total: Sorry, I just don't see it that way. Nightmare Moon might be superficially more frightening, but once you really think both of them through, NM just loses out.

Well, I can tell you this much, I remember being a big fan when I was young. It was a staple of my childhood. Then I grew up.

Zordon is an irresponsible sadist. They are fighting an army of evil monsters, and one of the rules the Power Rangers have to live by, is that they can't escalate a battle. Which basically means they can't open the fight with their one-hit-kill super-weapon, even though that would instantly end the fight and put no more lives at risk. They have to wait until the monster grows to Godzilla's size, and when he can end thousands of lives, and cause millions of dollars in property damage, with very little effort.

Such a policy is irresponsible. The right thing to do would be to end the fight as quickly and efficiently as possible. Of course dumbass kids would never notice this.

That, and have you ever noticed how Zordon is slightly racist? He made the black kid the Black Ranger, the Asian kid the Yellow Ranger, and the somewhat-Native American kid the Red Ranger. And he's a bit sexist too, making the only other girl the Pink Ranger. Of course, nowadays that sounds like SJW conspiracy theory shit, but I shit you not, CollegeHumor made the same point years before SJWs were ever a problem... at least, as much as they are now.

Yes, Power Rangers is filled to the brim with a lot of incredulously stupid shit, but if you look past it, it's still a lot of fun. ^^ You don't need to be TOO grown-up, you know. X3 These sorts of things still have a degree of honest enjoyment in them.

Actually Walter Jones, who played Zack, was originally cast as the Blue Ranger but he chose to be the Black Ranger, that's what I heard.

Yeah, I don't really pay attention to anything stupid or silly in Power Rangers, it's easy to look past it depending on the season. Ever saw how Nostalgia Critic reviewed Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie? One of my favorite parts there is when he as a Ranger's facing the monster and he says "Why can't I just use the giant robot?" and Zordon goes "We can't. We just can't", I love how it pokes fun at how the Rangers had to face the monster first.

Not all PR fans who were kids are dumbasses too, I liked some Power Rangers seasons (Dino Thunder, Lost Galaxy) as a kid and still like them now. Some series are terrible though, like Operation Overdrive and especially Super Megaforce.

I agree with all the PR ladies, The Evil Queen (or Queen Grimhilde if you prefer), Mirage, and Nightmare Moon.

LOL that's funny. I never watched any of those shows, though. I only know Gargamel 'cuz I saw the Smurfs movie. XD;

Yeah, I'd only heard of those shows too, the only ones I watched were Rescue Rangers and Inspector Gadget, but in the Rangers' defense they were pretty competent. The most awesome on that list would have to be Quellor, No Heart, Dr. Claw, and Tirek.
