Description In this one last chance,
As the sunlight fades,
And the nightline strains,
The sky line looks like its falling,
Bleeding in the air,
Over our houses,
As we dream without a care,
But nightmares never leave you,
Even in waking means,
That you are free from its hold,
The nightmare never leaves

I waited for you,
To take me out of the cold night,
Into the whispering flames,
Of falsified firelight,
And you did,
Once,
Things were different then,
That was before the sun bled

Into your eyes,
Into your gaping mouth,
The honey dew drops of refracted light fell,
The sunset seared along your skin,
It was so beautiful,
So terrifying,
But you drank it all with a greedy mouth,
And let the burning consume in on its self,
Until you were hazed,
Until you were no longer the same

It’s too late to give and give this all away,
The sunrise burned into your face,
Until your skin stole it all away,
And you left me,
In decaying shards of grey,
Until I ran in fear,
And fell into darkness.

Nightmares never leave you.
They never truly do.
