Description
“Why didn’t you tell me?” He pursued you as you tried to get further away from him, you couldn’t look the swordsman in the eye without feeling pain. “(Name)! Don’t you run from me!” he grabbed your arm as rain began to fall. “(Name)! Talk to me! You never told me you knew Hawkeyes Mihawk, even though you know my dream is to overcome his power and become the best swords-.” You couldn’t take much more of this, his grip was beginning to hurt your arm as you looked through your wet (H/C) hair at the man.
“Because there are some things that people aren’t ready for!” you ripped your arm from the green haired man’s grip. His eyes widened at your clearly distressed state, however he was angered by your response to him
“What do you mean things people aren’t ready for?! Are you implying I am weak?” you snapped your head from its fixated gaze at the ground to the dark green eyes of who you knew well.
“Zoro I never said anything about that!”
“Then what are you trying to say!
“I’m trying to say it hurts when I see you get hurt, especially by my own FATHER!” your comment made him go silent. Your father… was the great Hawkeyes Mihawk. No wonder you had direct contact with him…
“Your… your dad is…” His mouth dropped as he stepped back slightly. Zoro examined (Name) for signs of the master swordsman’s genes in her. Her eyes had a metallic (E/C) sheen to them, and your eye shape also matched your fathers, but he saw not much else in terms of genes.
“Yes, and the thought of you killing him also scares me,” Your eyes tear up as you look down once more “and if anything were to happen to either of you because of the other… I could never ever look at the survivor the same way again…” You finally just collapsed to your knees. Zoro stood there with his eyes slightly darkened. He was always too ignorant to notice how you were in pain the first time he had challenged the great swordsman. He never knew how scared for his life you were. That’s the reason you called for him to stop fighting him that day, you knew your father’s potential.
How long was this ripping you apart?
He finally put himself on the ground to hold you better in the rain, he sheltered you slightly to keep you from becoming any more drenched.
“I will not stop my quest to become the best swordsman, and you know that (Name),” you turned your head slightly to the side to show displeasure, but you did not attempt once to release yourself from Zoro’s arms. “But if I know one thing, Swordsmen have honor, and if I were to ask for an apprenticeship and your hand, then he might concede and live our final match.” You raised your head when he said ‘your hand’
“My hand…?”
“I want to marry you (Name),” he confessed. “I have been for a while and that’s why I brought you to that location… Even if it did take forever to get there…” he mumbled the last part. You soon realized now why your father had come at that moment, he always had an uncanny ability to sense if a boy had a romantic interest in you, he went to check it out and found you and Zoro. It all made sense.
Zoro wanted to propose to you.
“Zoro…” you whispered as his face turned red, he tried to hide his gaze from you by looking down, but with such close proximity, you soon earned his gaze back. “Zoro I want to marry you too” you confessed. He was dumbfounded, but soon his lips were on yours as he sealed the deal. You were his. You knew it was hard for Zoro to say ‘I Love You’ so you accepted his nonverbal all the same. Once you separated you felt familiar eyes on you, as did Zoro as he slightly unsheathed a sword, instinctively putting himself between the presence and you.
“So you wish to marry my daughter Roronoa?” a figure that was all too familiar came from the darkness. “An interesting twist indeed.” His stern gaze was fixed on Zoro. He examined the scene shortly after however and he had listened to the entire conversation. He knew Zoro’s true feelings for his daughter and how he would treat her. “I only have one thing to say to you Roronoa.” Your heart pounded, what if he denied your marriage? What if he was gonna kill Zoro on the spot? What if he took you away! You began to shake at the thought of your beloved being taken from you. You wanted to do something, but you couldn’t move.
“Well, spit it out Hawkeyes,” Zoro stood there bravely, but truly he was as scared as you were of being separated. The only thing keeping him from freezing up was his determination to keep you and marry you. Hawkeyes soon bowed his head slightly and smiled.
“I give you full permission to marry my daughter.”
You sat there in amazement, and Zoro dropped the sword from his mouth, but it was soon replaced with a smile and cuddled up to you out of happiness. You slowly wrapped your arms around Zoro as you saw your father walk away
“Thank you… Father.”
Zoro smiled at you
“Welp, soon your name will be Roronoa (Name) instead of Dracule (Name),” you smiled at Zoro and kissed him once more.
“Yeah, but how are we gonna tell the crew?”
“Just by telling them will be fine.” He held you close to him once again “Besides, Robin probably already knows.” You laughed and cuddled closer.
You both knew your love would be endless, and you both knew it might be a little awkward at first, but if your father, the great Dracule Mihawk approved of your eternal binding,
Then you knew you’d be okay.
