Yeah this is a glimpse into my upcoming Soul Eater Evans cosplay. THESE BABIES ARE DONE FINALLY~
I've been working on those chompers for two days, and just finished them about 10 minutes ago. Excuse the slight camera shake - I was drooling (Wow that doesn't sound like Soul at all -sarcasm- x3) from holding my mouth open repetitively and trying hard not to get it on my baby. (My Canon.) xDDDD
I am very pleased and seriously can not wait to wear these things at Animazement & Anime Weekend Atlanta 2009. 8DDDDD
I made a negative cast of my teeth/gums so that it would fit into my mouth like a pair of dentures. Then I made the teeth out of fake/acrylic nails that I shaped and then attached to the 'gums'. Ta-da you have Soul's shark-like chompers. :3
Total Time: About 12 Hours (Spaced out over two days.)
Total Cost: About $12.00

If it's not a secret, can I ask what material did you use on the gums and what did you use to attach the nail-teeth onto the gums? D: I'm trying to do shark-themed costume to next con.

Actually, I used non-toxic clay to make the dentures (aka the gums) that went over my teeth. I was trying to think of a cheap material that would be easy to use, and well ... I use clay for nearly everything anyway so I thought I might as well try it out. And I was gladly surprised when it worked out so well, haha.
As far as attaching the nails to the clay I used a mix of nontoxic super/nail glue and cement glue. I can't eat or drink anything with them in, but they're extremely comfortable to me and they got extremely easy to talk in after I got used to the fact of another set of teeth being in my mouth. :3

Friday I was Reborn from Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Saturday I was Soubi from Loveless and a Schoolboy Roxas from Kingdom Hearts, and then finally on Sunday I was an artbook Rukia from Bleach.
I wish you luck for the ball, it's always a blast.
And I may make a tutorial, it took a while and I've had a lot of people ask me about them.
It depends on how lazy I am, haha.

Also, What did you use to shape the nails so they wouldn't break? And to attach them to the mold?

They aren't as bulky as they look - promise.
They're pretty easy to talk in and close my mouth.
