Ch. 1 pg. 2
Okay, so I have been having trouble motivationally lately. I love doing this comic, and I have been so thrilled with the changes I made to the style. Yet instead of moving on to the next page, I find myself more often doing other things. Yes, i like to draw, but I also like to watch movies, read books, and take naps!!!! Sigh.
Then *Lonelywolf0I put up his next page of just 2 panels to ask opinions, which reminded me of how I put up my previous page to show it as a WiP. And how motivated I was to finish it, knowing I had only half a comic page up for everyone to see.
So I think, from now on, I will do this. I'll upload the first panel, and continue with the next panels as they are done, just like last time. When the entire page is finished, I will uncheck that button about minor changes, so it will send out the notice to everyone who watches me again, so don't worry about checking back in to see if the whole thing is complete or not yet, for you will know!!

I know... I think my problem is that I finish the page and I'm like "okay. Im satisfied. Everyone else should be, too." And then I just think I can take a break for days upon days, until suddenly, a week has passed and I have no update. Ugh. The problem with comics, though they are fun, is that they demand sooo many pictures. It posts as one page, but its really like 4 or 5 detailed images that you worked hard on, and its very time consuming and exhausting!
Thank you for the compliments. I'm surprised you like their fur, as I am not so pleased. Its not as flowing and pretty as how other people do it!!! I wish I could do it like that, but it just doesnt happen for me.
As for the speech bubbles, I make these myself. I basically just use the elipse tool to make an oval, and draw the pointy thing to their mouths (and I dont always get it straight, so I usually trim it down with the eraser after - which oddly makes it easier to get them straight than actually drawing them does...). After that, I make a new layer, select the shape and outline it in white. Then I delete the original shape, so its just a white outline - but I still keep the selection up. Then I just fill the selection with a gradient so it has that faded look. That's all. LOL I could make a tutorial if you want, its hard to explain but its really simple.
I dont know what version of photoshop you use, but it does come with the actual speech bubble shape. I just dont use it because it doesnt usually fit right, so I make my own. I mean if you need it to go wide, you can stretch it and it looks funny... or you can make it wide enough without stretching, but then its usually WAY too tall. So its easier to just make your own. But if you wanted it, for my version of photoshop it is under the shapes tool (custom shapes or something like that)

My eclipse tool is insisting on staying a circle -.- I think it is its revenge for overusing it and calling it names

The page looks very good. I think that is so cool to see that by me posting the first bit of my next page inspired you to continue on doing the second page. And I know how it is, I love working on my comic but also love to do so many other things. But thank you, I am very happy to see that I was such a big motivation for you.

no problem, I had actually done it on the previous page if you remember - I had just wanted to show people the new style, so posted it as a WIP. And then I couldnt figure out why I was so much more motivated for that page, until I saw you post a WIP of your own. Its because its hard to keep focused when you know you can get away with nobody seeing it for DAYS, WEEKS, anyway. They'll just think you've worked on it all along and never know the difference. It lets you get away with slacking.
Seeing your WIP post reminded me of how I did it on the last page, and the big difference it made in my motivation. And lo and behold, it worked. I got this page finished in just a few days, whereas prior to posting it, I had gone probably 5 or 6 without doing anything at all!

Martooth is actually a character - or rather, a name - I have had for a couple of years now. I've just never had a good place to use it. I probably could have thought up a cooler character than this old man wolf for the name I've been hanging onto for so long... but meh. It seems to fit an older animal. I could always create a side story for his youth or something. Not that it matters.
Why'd you delete all your art???? (like I am any better... I delete or hide mine, too. haha.)

This deserves to be published you? The work you put into it. The page itself looks perfectly weather, and the art is always fantastic. I wish I could walk into the store, find a beautiful leather bound edition of your art, and buy it! I'll even yell at people who haven't discovered you yet lol. But can't wait to see. The wolf looks so pouty

Aw, thanks. Its not been THAT much work yet, its only one panel! But I've gotten a start on the next one. Unfortunately, its going to be another butt picture, like the last panel in page 1. I can't think of any other way to do it, except for from the side, and that's boring! I'm trying to mix things up so they aren't all "side" images. I will have a couple head shot panels too. I do hope to get it published one day (at least self published at one of those comic printing sites), but thats probably a long way off, seeing as I'm only on page 2.

XD Well, I think this one does match up fine with the previous page, so its not too bad this time. There's nothing worse than when you made a page you really like, and then when you start on the next one, something is just OFF and it bothers you to death. It makes you feel like instead of improving, you are getting worse! And you hope nobody else notices. Haha.
