Lovely. You've captured Reaver as he is and as he was...if that makes any sense. The way you intertwine their fingers is lovely and intimate. The past is as real as the present, and this all seems, to me, to explain why Reaver is so driven to "live and enjoy life." If he stops to think, he may crack, like this mirror-like image.
