The message on the back of the original piece says "In memory of my Beau-Beau"

Yea... sad... my cay, Beau (who is a boy) got put down today because of kidney failure I was crying all day.

The tears on the art were made with blue pen and then smudged over with a white/clear pen to get the smooth-ish look to it. The rest was done with coloured pencils and a black outliner pen.
