Description i used PENS again! like biro finliner tips. ive been really sticking to one media recently just to dare myself with te style thats been developing.. trying not to use pencil has become like a ritual

but my foundation studies are trying to get me to be as open as possible to expand my creative thinking so i guess ive got to try and do different things with different media[ gotta love drawin in pen! i think im learning how ad when to stopp adding more shading]

drawing with pen stops me from being too much of a perfectionist and more of an experimentalist!

ooh and ive been working loads with urban environments... even tho you cant see it well, this picture has been the result of me studing alot of urban environments ill get to explaining that l8r on.

Thanx Blinktwice!!! for the advise on pen work!

you know ive only done 1 hour of fine art in foundation. the rest has been photography, textiles/printing on silk, cotton, felt and paper. Including making our own felt. among other things but I really like printing it would go well with my 'graphicky' nature.

Anyway you drawing is awesome but it looks like pencil at first glance, I think if you want people to know its pen without saying the shaing should be bolder.

Throw caution to the wind and dont mind so much about the various tones that are so hard to make using pen. Go even darker, add thicker lines, fill in those blank spaces or those incomplete lines. Cuz right now I know you'll notice that his hood and face are rather flat together right?

lol bruv, i got the same thing with our foundation! but whats interesting is that theyve been teaching use art theory which is alot harder than just techniques. it feels really benifical, i feel like my ideas are coming along alot better, and theres a really nice freedom with the breifs that not everyone is finding easy. its hard but definetly an awsome way of learning.

errm, ive tryed to draw iut in a way where theres an agressive movement effect to it so if some parts of it arent completely black ist because i feel that theres movement there. however i agree in a way that it needs to be a lil darker in some places like under the hood..... it dont look flat!!
