Yes that's quite a pity. Here we try to keep everthing in shape as good as possible, we've got several clubs/associations who're taking care of old monuments, houses and so on. It's also not allowed to tear down a house when it's older than 90 or 100 years, no matter how ruinous it is.

a very nice shot - really like this, i think it would improve if you straightened it as it appears tilted (noticeable because of the slant of the window frames)
very good though, good capture of the birds in it too - i think it really made the shot.
