The pole didn't bother me at all, it blends in nicely with it's surroundings. The subject of the picture, I believe, are the rays of light themselves. They draw my eye away from the gray line of the conduit on the pole. Very nicely done.

Thanks. It was not hard to make this shot. I had some smoke bombs left over from the fourth of july and used them to invent light rays. I agree that the pole does not look that good ,but I wanted to put the photo on here to see what kind of reaction it would get. I plan to make a better one sometime in the future.
