Description Blip, blip blip beeeep!
A metal cylinder covered in lights and runes emits the echoing sounds I recognize as the initiation of it's 'dead' mode.
"Flip..." I think as the last of the blinking luminous green lights on the dimension machine blink out and leave me in total darkness.
Please this be home.
-------Prologue-------
I had been normal, well as normal as any anime obsessed, vegetarian, animal loving, bookworm could be. I had a sister, two loving parents, a normal home on a small farm; school, friends, an ideal happy lifestyle!
Then I found the Clypse.
I was out for a walk with my family, my sister and I had started a game of tag and I had taken off into the network of pine trees that made up the majority of the forest. If I hadn't stopped, hadn't checked to see if my sister was still behind me, I would have missed it.
The shiny metallic cylinder was the size of a boombox, you know those old cd/radios from the 80's? Yeah that size but covered in alien-like runes and blinking yellow-green lights. It had been lying nestled in the grass on it's side, innocent, benign and unlike anything I had ever seen. Ever curious I had walked over crouched down and tentatively rested my finger on the lone neon blue light in the center of the device, seemingly drawn by an irresistible urge.
... And that was it, my world was gone in a nauseating swirl of colours and motion. I awoke in another forest, in the dark of night in what I would later find out to be another dimension, or rather the Animorph's dimension as I would call it.
Aliens, the power to change into animals at will with only one touch from a spacey blue cube, and a group of teens who were battling for the freewill of mankind. Oh yeah epic an all, just add the fact I had read most of their futures and knew who was evil or who would end up dying from the book series Animorphs, oh yes that would go over just smoothly.
It took about two months of trying to 'fit in' despite multitudes of complications before  the stress and pressure of the situation caused me an embarrassing nervous breakdown. It took screaming every deep dark secret I could remember to convince the animorphs that I was telling the truth.
And it wasn't until a full year later of close calls and near death experiences that I was able to get my hands on 're-energizer chrysalis' as Ax called it, basically a super-charged battery for the Clypse.
The only downside... I didn't actually have time to try and figure out how the device worked before I once again activated the Clypse and with a whirlwind of echoing yells and diffusion of lights, I once again had no clue to where I was...

Struggling to my feet, dizzy and discombobulated I look around the pitch dark empty room,
