Description On a misty morning fifteen years ago...a chocolate colored colt was born on the farm. This colt was named on a whim as the farmer's wife had just brought the tired man a piping hot cup of chocolate laced coffee. The man smiled and named the young horse My Morning Mocha. Now many years have passed, and this horse has served the farm and served it well. He has never set foot in a show ring...never won a blue ribbon but to the farmer and his wife his worth is above measure. They both know that if there is a challenge to be overcome, a stubborn stump to move, a massive load to shift...OR even a strong, steady back to carry around the next generation of farmers...they can always rely on that steady, powerhouse of a horse...now simply and lovingly called......Mighty Mo!!

The second pic of Mo will have a description of all I did to custom him....I felt that this simple little story was enough for this pic!!

THANKS!! I am pretty happy with Mo. I put off doing one of these for years for fear of just screwing up a nice model. Glad I took the plunge.

Thanks...his face is one of the reasons that I named him Mo and came up with his cover story. He just has that sweet, sleepy look that some of these big guys get.

Not the lake drains ,mom, I beg of you NOT the lake drains.....It is a great idea though, you could sell it in inspiration and humor both. But seriously, the world does not need to hear the lake drains....Seriously

YES....I have another draft model from Breyers, it is more refined than Mo but still has that massive look....so I think it will work well. THIS time I will get a "before" pic before I start.

I can't imagine why. I find it rather fascinating to see the stages one thing goes through to become another...

Always a pleasure!
It's doing okay. The swelling has finally started to go down, and I have a doctor's appointment on Monday to see if I can finally start weight baring. Hopefully I will get good news, so that I can start doing more than sleeping the day away.
How are the gals?

Glad to hear it is healing...maybe you will get some riding in this summer after all! They are doing great. Today we are FINALLY getting some rain...WOHOO...might just be enough to save my pasture so I can QUIT feeding them my stash of winter hay!! It is also supposed to cool down...so will be getting some time in working with them this week. Hope to get some pics.

I hope so! I miss that plucky little horse!

Hooray for rain! It's our monsoon season down here and it's maybe rained... twice? All it's done is brought the humidity. -_-

We actually got a couple of good soaking rains and I THINK my pasture just might be greening up a little. worked with my gals some today for the first time it seems in ages...Beauty did wonderfully...always before if I put her on the lunge line or in a round pen...she was always so wound up and nervous that all she wanted to do was trot as fast as she could. Today for the first time...she relaxed and I got a nice slow relaxed trot out of her and for the first time since I have owned her, an easy relaxed walk!! Shooter also remembered everything that we had been working on before and was her usual easy going self. I hope to be on her by the end of this week. Did not do much with Valley except to work on walking away from the other horses. All in all had a great morning...cept MISS VALLEY AGAIN manage to plant her big assed fat foot right on mine...in the SAME spot as last time. I think she does it one purpose!!!
