waiting
wishing
for some holy sign
sorting through these thoughts i have
and wonder if they’re even mine
i’d tell You what i’m feeling
but don’t think i know how
and it’s not that i don’t want to
i swear its cuz i can’t

why are You so silent
or have i just been too loud
that i can’t even hear You
as i lay beneath this shroud
of my own sin
sometimes it feels like i’ll never win
i never win

and i lie here
