Your Wind Rivers shots are always awesome! I've been dying to get up here for a few years now. You make it look so beautiful. Lovely light here.

Well thank you very much, PF. I love that place. Lot's of great memories there, as well as being one of the most beautiful places I have visited in my home state. I feel I can't do it justice. You better get up there soon, especially if you live in SLC - you're closer than I am!

This is a lovely shot, well done. Nice composition with the light slope to the left, the lone tree to the right, and the nicely exposed clouds. The light rays are the icing on the cake.

Thank you very much, HH. The Highline is trail awesome along this side of the lake. There's another trail along the other side of the lake which is shrouded in old growth timber. They are both spectacular in their own ways.

Thank you very much, MW. I went 10 or so years without visiting the Green River Lakes. That will never happen again. It's definitely top 2 for my favorite areas in the state. I have to make it a priority to get up there at least once a year.

Thanks a bunch, MGM. You moved up to Pinedale? You lucky dog! I better be seeing a BUNCH of shots from the Green River Lakes from you then. I would be up in the Winds every weekend if I could. Good luck in Pinedale, and give Wind River Brewing my best!

I really like this with the sun rays going through the frame. The distant fog adds a whole new element as well and helps give some scale to the distant mountains and trees. If I had a suggestion, it would be to crop some of the left side so that tree isn't fighting to be part of the photo.

The light was very odd that morning. It started out with some of the thickest fog I have ever seen and as the day progressed became some of the harshest light I've shot in. I got a couple of good keepers. Agreed on the tree at the left side. It does look like it's trying to fight its way into the frame. I'll post a cropped version. Thanks!

I like the light in this, it's not overpowering.
