TBHHHHH its like (infodumps bc u expressed a mild interest) a complicated skill that u have to learn how to do
and stuff like ears, tails, and feet paws are the easiest to learn and are usually
the extent of what most people who actually decide they want to learn how to do it
can mange (ppl like natalie, lauren, luca, etc) but then being able to control more
than that is like a Very Hard Skill and so far Erin is our only oc who is like. Extremely
good at it (she doesnt paint her nails for example she leaves them black with
leftover pigment from her claws instead of finishing the shapeshift bc she likes to
show off subtly KMSKFMKSMF) but then others like skylar learn how to shift other
parts of themselves but dont have overall control of it (skylar can give herself
bird eyes but can't do much else otherwise lol) SKMSKFM IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE IDK
ITS JUST LORE IM PROUD OF also mythical creatures like dragons and unicorns and
shit overall have an easier time with shapeshifting than animal ones do bc they have
more magic and overall dragons are just set up to be better at it as the Root of all shifting
AND-- (stops myself and is put under arrest)
meanwhile monica can barely control herself from spontaneously shapeshifting which
is something usually only young kids have issues with LMAO
