Commission for LordMarlonSome more trying around with greyscale thingies. This time with 90% more effort than the last time and hell dude
This shit is true love hate. In the end I really like the result, its top notch but the process to it sucks hairy lemons :/
But actually, I got good taste of it and really want to work with this technique a bit more. In the end, its much faster than my regular paintings (I'm not going to quiet them, but I love to have many possibles styles to switch around with)
BUT
FOR THIS I REALLY NEED TO STOP PUTTING SO MANY DETAILS INTO IT. At least at the greyscale base, coloured I can paint over and throw my details everywhere c:

I will totally do more works with this style! I'm actually doing it right now. In the end its actually pretty fun and make it easier to shade correctly, because you don't get confused with colours and such if you know what I mean c:

No, Simple Render is the lazy version of Complex Render
I sketch, line, coloured and shade it. And than I start to paint it over. While the complex render is focused on being high texture and realistic, the simple render ist just ... doing its best to cover the lineart and blend the shading.
This here base on a greyscale. So I sketch, lineart and than shade the whole character and picture in black-white. After this I throw the colours on it and paint a bit over.
Its a totally different technique c:
