Smoke:
Tomas Vrbada was born with a very unique ability, one that was recognized by the Lin Kuei. As he trained, he befriended fellow ninja Kuai Liang, who would later go on to take the name Sub-Zero. During the events of MK II, Smoke was captured by the Lin Kuei, placed within the Cyborg Initiative to serve a higher purpose.
