By "rugby", do you mean traditional rugby (without pads), or do you mean American football?

It looked like a slightly different form of grey, so that confused me for a bit. All the same, it seems like people in the western CSA would more likely have some other name for themselves, some form of regional name. I'd also imagine the same thing for the Hispanic states, maybe something like "Confederados" or something similar.

This map was written with only white Confederates in mind, honestly. The rest would have vastly different opinions on a lot of these, I assume.

Speaking of which, what is citizenship like in this CSA? I remember seeing that in "Bring the Jubilee", citizenship in the CSA was restricted to the descendants of those who were citizens at independence, which when you consider the fact that
A. Immigrants thus couldn't get citizenship
B. They conquered everything from Mexico to Tierra del Fuego
The "citizens" of the CSA were an amazingly tiny group compared to the whole of the population.

Citizenship would be restricted to whites (Proper white mind you! None of those dirty Slavs or Greeks! Nothing of the sort, only North-West Europeans! I suppose a pale Spaniard may pass...) who were apart of a true form of Christianity (Papists and Greeks can get shoved!) and paid taxes. If you paid no taxes you did not vote, unless a voucher could be signed by your local official and a clean record was found. Basically, the citizens of this CSA would be comprised of whites who had clear roots to America. Hell, even a few white immigrants here and there, but the racialism of this CSA is showing evident cracks.
What are the populations of the Mexican, Cuban, and other Caribbean territories? Ethnologists had to be paid by the government to measure skulls, noses, and lips in order to determine which of these "Latins" were white. Even still, what if an immigrant from Greece, Poland, or Russia showed up? What if he was blond, fair skinned, and boasted blue eyes? How could he not be classified as white? Then, the issues with negroes, mulattos, quadroons, and more! Or, a half-white half-Cuban.
Basically the racialism and ethnology of the CSA is going to be a huge, growing concern for this timeline.
