A focus stack would have been really good for this picture but it would have been hard if the subject is constantly moving, like a fish.

so you'll just have to deal with a constructive comment:
The colour is definatly my favorite part of this picture. and the focus and positioning is pretty good despite the dark panel on the right, that bit dosen't effect it at all i think. which is good.
i can see what you were going for with the focus, and I can understand why you were going there, but personally the central face area boggles my eyes abit. i think because the focus is primarily on the eyes, while the tip of the nose (YES sven of course fish have noses. duh.) is out of focus and i think it gives the fish face almost a holey doughnut effect focus wise, which I'm not a big fan of.
the amount of focus thats for the background is still good though, as blurry as it is, it still lets us obtain the details in the fish fins.
I get that capturing fish is probably one of the harder animals to work with, and i kinda fail because only now am i seeing the smile, which is cool

I agree with this comment! I'd still crop the image a little to remove that black bar on the right side.
Too bad the EXIF data is removed I'd love to see how much DOF you could still draw out of the image.
How did you take this picture? Have you used an underwater casing or did the fish actually swim this close to the window? How big is this fish, must have been really tiny!
