It was quite a while actually, they were grazing near each other which you might see in the whole-herd shots I'm going to upload soon. I think I was there around a half hour before they began to parallel walk.

So cool! I've never seen anything like this before. I've heard of a lot of albino and piebald deer before, but I've never seen pictures of melanistic ones.
