Description Okay, this merits some explanation, I think. This is a crossover idea I got about a year ago, which would cross over APH with a book series entitled “Dragons in Our Midst.” I only got about three chapters into the fic (yes, this was going to be a fic) before scrapping the idea, but I still liked some of the character interactions and action sequences I had come up with, so I decided to draw one of them just for kicks, and I’d also like to a sketchdump in the future with some other ideas for this crossover. The fic would have taken place between the end of the third DIOM book, “Circles of Seven,” and the beginning of the last book, “Tears of a Dragon,” and would have also made references to the prequel book, “Eye of the Oracle.” The following paragraphs will contain slight spoilers to the first three books of the series.

So anyways, pictured is the personification of Liechtenstein, Heidi Zwingli (at least, that’s my name for her), and Bonnie Silver, an anthrozil or, in layman’s terms, a dragon-human hybrid that has dragonish traits, such as firebreath, wings, superhuman intelligence, danger sensing, or healing. They’re on the run from Morgan le Faye’s (yes, THAT Morgan le Faye) prism dog, a brutal, doglike creature with the ability to change the color of its fur.
Basic plot in a nutshell, now that Morgan’s been set free from Hades (an alternate dimension which is basically the afterlife for people who don’t go directly to Heaven, for whatever reason), not only is she going after the dragons and their offspring, since they’re the only ones that can stop her, but she’s also targeting the world’s nations as well, in order to more easily sway the population of the earth when she makes her move to take it over. Only a handful of the personified nations manage to both evade her and the Watchers’ (a group of renegade fallen angels who fathered giant children with human women before the Flood of Noah wiped them all out) grasp and make their way to England where they meet up with the dragons, former dragons (dragons that were transformed into humans to hide them from Morgan and the dragon slayers back in the time of King Arthur), and their allies to try to figure out how to fix this, since England himself, who was the first nation to be nabbed (he and Morgan have history, let’s just say), was able to send a message through Sealand to Norway and Ireland before he was caught, telling them to get in contact with Sir Patrick - one of the former dragons - so they could get some answers and help.
If anyone has any further questions about the plot or anything, just post them in the comments, and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Well, for my first time drawing Bonnie and my second time drawing Liechtenstein, I’d have to say it doesn’t look half bad. Could be better, of course, but overall, I’m happy with it. Particularly Bonnie’s wings. I wasn’t sure how they would turn out, but they really don’t look half bad. ^w^

Um I am not even going to ask why Hungary has wings because I like the picture.

Because that's not Hungary. This is a crossover between APH and a book series starring characters that are dragon hybrids, and that character happens to have dragon wings as a carried-over trait from her ex-dragon mother. Please read the artist's comments before you comment next time.

But I'm glad you like it.

That sounds like a super interesting crossover. 8D Oh, how I love dragons and crossovers, so now I'm all excited. xD

This looks really cool. I agree about the background, it does give a sense of movement. And of course wings and flying and awesomeness... /seriously cannot get enough of dragons

Thanks! I'm still rather fond of it myself. I've loved this book series for a LONG time, and the chance to get the APH characters interacting with the DIOM ones was too good to pass up. X3

I've never heard of DIOM, but you can't go wrong with dragons! Her wings look fantastic and the way you blurred the background makes it seem like they're really moving!

IKR? I'm glad you liked the BG, though. I was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out, myself.

Yeah!!! I've loved DIOM for over six years, and I just got into Hetalia a couple months ago. My friends call me Canada.

Wow, awesome! Why do they call you Canada? Do you act like him?

And I've been in the fandom for almost two years, now. If you're one for fanfics, I could point you to some really good ones, if you're interested.

Well, they started calling me Canada at the sleepover where Hetalia and I were introduced (), because in the middle of the night (or actually the early morning--it was 1:30 AM--when we were all trying to sleep, they asked me what country I was, and, not knowing much about Hetalia, I simply said "I am Canada."

Of course, hilarity insued. XD

And, yes, I'd love to read some fanfics~! XD

Late reply is so late. I'm incredibly sorry.

Here're some good ones.

- “Never Your Hero” and related stories by ~kelbora (General Kitty Girl on FF.net). Let me begin by saying that “Never Your Hero” is the best WWI APH fic on the internet. Bar none. But all of Kel’s fics are AMAZING, and you should TOTALLY go read every one of her fics.

- “What Your Country Can Do For You” by Niirasi . An awesome series of oneshots that shows the nations interacting with a member of their populace in different ways. All the human OCs are very realistic and well realized, and it’s a very good way to get to know the nations from an outsider’s point of view. ^-^

- “Seven Pieces of Chalk” by Lady Charity . A high school AU, but one done RIGHT. You WILL be bawling at at least one part in here. I can almost guarantee it. Lady Charity’s other high school AU fics “Hello Hurricane” and “Tancol?” (they take place in the same AU) are good, too, though they feature Spamano as a secondary paring, which I'm not too thrilled about, but by the time I figured that out the first time reading the story, I was too hooked to stop. Some of her normal non AU fics are quite good as well. But “Seven Pieces of Chalk” is by far her best work, IMO. ^-^

- Almost anything by Gemini Star01 . I say “almost anything” because there are a couple of her stories I didn’t like/haven’t even read because of the summaries, but for the most part they’re quite awesome. ^-^ Personal favorites include “Gray Skies Over London” and “Every Generation,” (an AU where America lost the Revolutionary War), “Awakening” (wherein America and Canada are captured as POWs and become the test subjects of one Josef Mengele, a real life Nazi scientist who conducted horrible experiments on twins during WWII [I should probably mention that popular fanon commonly considers America and Canada to be twins]), and “Good Afternoon, Mr. Adams” (cuz America interacting with the founding fathers is always awesome ).

- Pretty much anything by *PwnedByPineapple . Her head-canon is hilarious, adorable, and heartbreaking by turns. She has a particular love for the fanmade APH game HetaOni, bromance (particularly of the America/England variety), and Amercia/Belarus romance. Almost everything by her is heartily recommended. ^-^ Where Pineapple REALLY shines, however, is in crossovers. She excels spectacularly at them, and is great at getting two seemingly different universes to blend seamlessly together. You can find almost all of them here . She's also working on an epic-length APH/Firefly crossover, which I'm a coauthor in and which can be found in its own separate folder here .

Hope you like these.
