Another batch of character voices for :devpwenedbypineapple:’s and my HetaFly crosssover! 8D Another one of these might eventually be forthcoming, you never know. Enjoy!

Shadow

*PwnedByPineapple came up with Shadow’s voice. I think it fits him quite well. ^-^ The only thing to change is that Shadow has an old western accent, like many of the border and rim planets.

Ariel

When trying to think of a voice for Ariel, the only one that kept coming to mind was Raven-Symone. The only problem was, all the roles she’s done that I can think of have her playing sassy, outgoing women/girls, and Ariel is most definitely neither of those. But when I heard an interview done with her, and heard her normal, non-acting voice, I thought “That’s her.” That’s why there’s no picture for the third panel, because I like her normal voice best for Ariel.

Osiris is a very intellectual and sophisticated individual, so I wanted him to have a very nice, scholarly voice, with a hint of dry, wry humor and wit, but also has a sort of know-it-all vibe at times. The Eighth Doctor from Doctor Who is one of the least known doctors, but he’s one of my favorites, and the way his voice sounds in the clip is perfect for Osiris, especially when he starts talking about Shakespeare, because Osiris is a huge bookworm.
And the singing sample is simply because I love Paul McGann’s singing voice, and I wanted to feature it. :3

Someone pointed me toward the first voice sample, “The Gatherer’s Song,” and I was so freaked out by it that I literally yelled, “My God!”, tore out my earbuds, and turned away from the screen because I was SO NOT expecting that picture and that voice to greet me when I clicked on the link. *shudder* After I recovered my senses and dignity, and listened to the rest of the clip and the second voice sample - specifically from 0:21-0:47 - I suddenly thought of how this would be the perfect voice Miranda. Now, we’d need to lose the deeper tone underneath the normal little girl’s voice, and she would need to sound much more like a psycho nutjob than the Little Sisters do, but other than those minor changes, I think it’d fit extremely well. ^-^ (And… is it just me, or does Jodelle Ferland look kind of like a younger Summer Glau? O_O)
