i like your use of the light, placement of tiger, her relationship to the arch, this your first time, well done you keep at it, we all have to start at the bottom and work up, and with all that we learn and put into practice, We are never done...

Like the composition although the edges are a bit hard.
You should try to duplicate the layer and add a vector mask to it (white) then
paint with black in the layer mask (lower the opacity 25-50%) and draw around the girl/tiger/arc and it should smooth out.
Also blurring slightly the background would give a bit more depth to it making the girl pop more out.
Also I noticed that the light on the girl (up-left & backlit) and trees (right sidelight) comes from different direction.

Here is nice site for searching for PS tutorials: [link]

you should try to get stock matching in quality... like see how the models face is really blurry compared to the scenery..? prime example ^_^

Very nice! But you should take away the green area between his middle legs. The proprtions of the tiger is also not right. If you look at the original, he is "higher". it is like if you squished him. Do you understand what I mean? I agree about what was said about the depth of field. You can try to sharpen the model and the tiger? But you have done a good job, especially as first attempt.

great first attempt! this is never easy.
i think that the softness of the focus on her face is what gives it away as the arch right above her is in such a clean focus. perfectly composed and great angle and color!

The idea is great here and the chop job was done well. The only issue I think (and you couldn't do anything about this really) is that the depth of field is different for the three subjects. Selecting all of your subjects to be equally sharp as well as having similar lighting make this much easier

This is really good for a first attempt! (A lot better than mine ) Maybe work on the rough edges (like the bottom of the dress) and shadowing. Keep up the good work though!

I'm definitely no expert on it so I'm sure there are other ways but I usually use the burn tool in photoshop.Sometimes I use a low opacity dark paint. `night-fate has really great tutorials that might be very helpful.
