Wow...well this is my first ever attempt to an overally depressing drawing...and well I'm pretty happy with it.

Anyways this is based on the series '1 Litre or Tears' and well the girl in the bed is supposedily the character Aya, who had been dignosed with a terminal disease and like the title indicates, it's the final farewell.

The actual drawing of this picture took 20 mintues and the colouring took me a while...an hour and a half, this is due to the amount of time I took in trying out the different colours to use, and ended up using lots and lots of blues.
The main program I used was GIMP and that's pretty much it, and for the drawing I used my year 8 art diary and a lead pencil and rubber.

This drawing is dedicated to anyone who is currently suffering from a disease, and even though they know they're time is short they are able to make the best of the time left, just like the memorable Aya Kito (July 19, 1962 - May 23, 1988), dying at the young age of 25, and whose diary 'Ichi Rittoru no Namida' was published shortly after she died, and within her diary she wrote

"Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing"

And reached out to warm the hearts of all her fans of today.
