I have worked very hard on this drawing. I spent a long time getting all the proportions right, and shading it. You can see a couple other pictures of it partially completed in my gallery.I put this away for a while as I worked on other things that needed to be done. I came back to it a few weeks ago, and found that it had been smudged in my sketchbook. I vowed not to let that happen again, and fixed it last Wednesday. This past Saturday, I spent most of the day finishing it.

Very soft shading.. Very nice! Only drawback is around the faces, which are very light, it is hard to spot detail. You do capture the poses and interaction very well though, and I think that overshadows any imperfections. Good work!

Thank you so much for the criticism. I do agree with you. I will be sure to make the faces stand out a little more in the future. I suppose that would have fixed itself if I had decided to draw in the background, though. Oh well. Artistic decisions. Thanks!

I like Elrond, but somehow I think Arwen needs more detail. Anyway, itΒ΄s a great work!

Hmm... I cannot see your perspective on this point. I think Arwen has more detail than Elrond, and I honestly prefer her over him. However, I do think I could have put a little more contrast in her face. Thank you very much for your feedback; I will always appreciate such comments, for they show me where I can improve. Exactly. I mean: I think the face could be more... "detailed" or maybe is a matter of contrast. I donΒ΄t know, IΒ΄m not expert so donΒ΄t pay me much attention. Also, I supose this is not at full res so I canΒ΄t see all in detail. By the way, IΒ΄m impressed by the detail on clothing.
In any case, donΒ΄t take my critics too seriously for I am no expert.

Well thank you very much! Actually, this picture is only about the size of a notecard. I've been practicing with small sizes and plan to work up from there. It is tough to get a lot of detail in a small space, though. But I'm grateful for your feedback!
