Hey, this pic is really cool!
I think you're off to a really great start here. I love the colors you used, and the way you did that background both pops your chara yet is interesting to look at.
Suggestions: Try making the dragon's hea a little better and spend a little more time on the wings - fine details like makinhg the head proportionate and making wings more detailed will really make your style shine through.
Keep up the good work, I really hope to see more from you!
