Hello:
Interesting way for the ship to open it's main cannons. I also like it's versatility (compared to the SDF-1 and others like the Zentraedi Gunship) as it could fire both main cannons at the same time at larger targets or to fire one at a time

That would come in handy when fighting a fully powered Masters Mothership.
