Description So what HAS happened, really? NOTE: The following is a loose interpretation about how I saw the ending of the Dage v Nulgath war going. Not at all close but the idea still comes across. Also, yeah... giant time jump lol... hopefully I will be motivated to atleast write down the entire story of this dismal future of Lore.

P.S. press the orange sphere to go back to the beginning. Also feel free to put suggestions of other ways to torture and kill the poor faceless human merc that wandered into Veynrath.

The war between Dage the Evil and Nulgath the Archfiend ravaged much of Lore and lasted a good long time. The ending surprised all. The war was of no importance to Nulgath. At all. And yet he won. It was a blow-out as the Archfiend used his other-worldly powers to call in every contract. Most in Dage's legion had signed those damned contracts and instantly were grotesquely morphed into disgusting amalgamations. Nulgath's newest breeds of fiends demolished what remained of Dage's Undead Legion, led by many powerful daemonic generals.

With the war nearing completion and his Legion falling apart on all fronts, Dage the Evil left his palace in the Underworld and charged into Tercessuinotlim in all his power. On his way through to Nulgath, Dage lay waste to a great number of fiends. Four-eyed heads were grossly decapitated, bodies were cleanly split down the middle, and bodies were ripped in half at the waist. All the destruction easily carried out by Dage the Evil in his rage.

He was angry. He had guessed that soon Nulgath would call in the Contracts and Dage had planned for this. He had three hags place multiple hexes and enchantments on his dutiful Legionnaires to protect them. He even had help from the future. Both Laken and Shydoli had arrived from the future to help, cybernetically enhanced cyborgs completely immune to Nulgath's Contracts. How...how had Nulgath bypassed those hexes and charms? If the hags had cheated him, Dage would make certain that after all this, no matter what, he'd deal with them.

Dage pummeled through hundreds of Fiends and even through two powerful golems of Nulgath's larval form: Miltonius. Finally he was in the throne room of the damned. Nulgath did not seem surprised in the slightest at the appearance of the wayward former apprentice. Not even a grunt was issued between the two. Neesha moved back as Dage launched himself at the Archfiend. But Agorwraith wasn't as lucky. As he dashed forward, Dage smashed his powerful stone-like fist into Agorwraith's face. Instantly the powerful fiend's face caved in and wrapped around Dage's fist. Dage then threw a side punch at Nulgath out a rage and chucked the broken lifeless shell of Agorwraith at Nulgath.

He didn't even move. The attacks didn't phase Nulgath in the slightest. He batted away the broken form of one of his most powerful generals with little thought and din't even see the need to black Dage's punch. Dage stopped and looked up at Nugath, who looked down at him.

"Did you come to throw a hissy fit or did you come to fight?" Nulgath used one powerful hand to shove Dage the Evil away.

Dage growled and his armor glowed; morphing, evolving into something more than it ever had been. With Anger burning in his new cold blue visor, Dage summoned two weapons: Caladbolg in his right, and an enhanced SoulForge Hammer in his left. "I swear, I will split your head open with one stroke!" Dage growled.

Nulgath muttered a laugh and raised a single hand skyward. A portal to the abyss parted the air and three Oblivion blades rained down, floating behind the Archfiend. "Fool," Nulgath's slimy lips parted. In his dominant hand, the Overfiend Blade materialized. In his off hand, an unfamiliar 13th Betrayal Blade appeared. "This is a war that you could never win."

The two forces of immense evil and power clashed. It was a fight that never ended. Midway through the fight, Nulgath managed to jam his 13th Betrayal Blade through Dage's torso, but not before the SoulForge had crashed into Nulgath's maw, crunching the rigid facial bones of the Archfiend.

Nulgath growled and looked to his former slave with burning hatred rivaling the stinging of his broken face. A crooked toothy grin crept across his face as he saw the powerful lich on one knee before him, the 13th Betrayal Blade protruding rudely from Dage's undead chest. Though he had no physical body, Dage's soul was bound to his armor, the Nulgath's 13th Betrayal Blade was specially forged in the depths of the Abyss to dispell such an enchantment.

Behind Nulgath, a blue doorway seemed to just appear, open. Within the airborn doorway were shadows moving with many bright red eyes. Nulgath smiled.

"I broke you!" Dage screamed, "You cannot run from this!" The lich frantically stood but felt sluggish, an effect of the blade in his metaphorical gut. "This isn't over! I broke you and now I will replace you!"

A beam of darklight fired from beyond the door and enveloped Nulgath just as Dage stood. The Archfiend looked back at Dage with a crooked grin from his broken face just before exploding, his insides coating the entire room in a pure darkness. Only the cold blue glow of Dage the Evil remained, barely lighting the throne room.

"Take this realm." Nulgath's voice sounded different. It was more calm and ascended and it sounded as if he had multiple voices talking with him in unison. "I no longer have a need for it. I have achieved OverSoul."

"So you're running like a coward?" Dage taunted incredulously.

The murky blackness seemed to be pulled off like a sheet and wrapped about a new figure. One impossible to describe. From it's darkened and helmeted face, the new Voice of Nulgath eminiated, echoing thorugh all the halls and within the skulls of all present, living and undead. A tendrill of darkness wrapped about Dage and hoisted him into the air before Nulgath's new form.

"I could end your pathetic eternal excuse of an unlife right now, flea. Snap you just as easily as a dragon extiguishes the life of a village with little notice. But I wont." With a snap, Dage was flung across the chamber. "No... a new realm now awaits me. A perfect one. Fresh and pure, ready for me to taint." Nulgath moved for the doorway.

"You leave, and I'll win!"

Nulgath actually laughed, "Tell them you won. Go right ahead. Your reign wont last too long, I will guarentee you that. Your armies are in chaos, my generals are still fresh. Tell the people whatever you want to spur them to your side. I will return, but your fall will be long before that." Nulgath ended with a slight glowing smile before he stepped over to the other side.

That was eons ago. Nulgath still hasn't returned and true to his word, Dage was killed. Lost in the aftermath of the war a few years later, never to be found. Shydoli leads the Legion now with an undead iron fist while I, Ralzic the Purefiend, and my mate Niohla the EonFiend lead the proud Remnant of Nulgath on Lore, patiently awaiting his return.

And you, pathetic fleshling, have had the displeasure of incuring the wrath of my kind. Will I kill you right away? Will I torture you a little longer? Or will I spare you and bestow mercy as best I know upon you? I haven't decided yet, but I do know that by the end of this, you WILL rue the day you stepped foot within Veynrath.

With Shydoli and the Legion to the North, the Solars to the South, the Dragons to the West, and the Remnant of Nulgath in the Abyss below you, where will you and your allies escape to? The East? Where Chaos died and Deserat Moya and those worse than it wander and summon their eldritch monstrosities? The time of your kind is up, fleshling.

Another war on all fronts against mankind and it's allies is brewing.

So declares Ralzic.
