Description EDIT: Species group:

This is the first species sheet of my new species the "wasp hound" hereafter called 'Waunds'. (Wasp + hounds mixed together. - a single wasp hound is called a Waund, while plural is Waunds).
This is sheet number one, that shows the STANDARD (usual colors) of the waunds, the differences between males and females, the structure of the skeleton and has a few notes 'pinned' to it at the same time.

There's is no scientific or latin word for the species.
Yes, there are subspecies of these creatures. Yes I will do a sheet that shows some of the subspecies.
I will do a sheet that shows the average height of the waund and explains the average weight of the waund.
I will do a sheet that predicts other design 'options' and pelt colours.

This is NOT an open species and you may not make one of your own.
I will make a notice when there are waunds up for adoption.

This probably won't be until I have made the group for the Waund and it's subspecies.
(Subspecies will be smaller than the waund, so if you want a large specimen, you should aim for a waund and not one of it's subspecies.)

I will not get into genotype and phenotype with the waunds, cause I have no idea how it works. lol.

Wow what an awesome, yet peculiar creature and epic name . The females sound like they're beautiful with the elbow tufts.

I felt like I was squeezing my brain when I had to come up with a unique species name xD and then I decided it to be waund because they are this sort of wasp hounds, so I just kinda, yeah haha.

Thank you <3
Can't wait to start doing adoptable sheets with these and earn some money and/or points on this species. I hope they will become popular lol

If you like I could try suggesting them to some people I know who might like an unusual canine-wasp hybrid.

It would be really awesome if you could do that!
be sure to direct them to the group ( ) as well that's where all the info on how to obtain/adopt one is gonna be and what the pricing is and all (still need to add all that, but it is totally gonna be done through this week. because I am hyped to have waunds up for adoption and such by the end of this week)

Oh...how were you able to come up with their bone structure? That looks awesome, but it sounds so difficult to do.

Well, their bone structure is very similar to that of a dogs, except theirs are larger, and of course their tailbones are different. (spikes and stinger, not so doggy like ahah). I kinda just doodled up the skeleton, referencing it from various different dog skeletons. x3

Do you have any history in mind? It would be awesome to hear how they came to be (especially to have stingers).

I haven't quite figured out their history yet, though I believe it involves genetic mutation and modifications since wasp / dog hybrids would be impossible in real life xD because wasps and dogs can't breed with each other LOL

What about genetic splicing? I don't know exactly how it works, but it does involve combing two different DNA into one.

isn't that the same as genetic mutation/manipulation? xD

I think so...or that's it formal name . Maybe some magic could be involved.

Nah, the waunds are supposed to be part of the 'real' world so I doubt magic would be involved xD It's more likely to be genetic manipulation (or whatever it's called lol)
