Description
This is my most favorite oil painting I've done to date. I worked on it once or twice a week, a few hours at a time, over a six month period. This would have been back in 2009. After I finished, I had to leave it at school (hurricane Ike hit, and school was closed for a week) and when I was able to get to it again, I found that it had been vandalized. I suspect two people did it, because my lynx had been sharpied across the chest and had his eyes scribbled out with pastel between sixth and seventh period while students were filing in and out of the classroom. This picture was taken after I redid almost the entire forearm and had to completely paint over the eyes. I will probably go back and do his eyes a third time some day - they did not end up having the same vibrancy and slight blue-green hue they once had.

Whoever did it was never caught, and I've always held a grudge against my art teacher for doing literally *nothing* - she never even breathed a word about it to any of her classes - about what happened. I would like to think karma tore them (the vandals, not my teacher, lol) a new one. But that's life for you.
