Description
OK, so I'm trying to figure out a design for something. So, which parts are beter (the differences between the two are the gauntlets, the presence or lack of chainmail on the left arm, and the straps on the torsoYES, I KNOW I'M OCD.

Practicality is key. Ask yourself: does it serve a purpose for this fighter? If it doesn't, then scrap it.
I say chainmail on whatever needs to be protected without limiting mobility, a sleek design for the gauntlet, and as many torso straps as you need to hold the weapon.

Lol, I designed this (and a slew of others that are either sitting on my hard drive/my brain) based on a book I was writing, where one day I was like "I wonder what they would look like if it were a manga... that's interesting... let's try and draw them then, complete with wholly impractical yet cool-looking costumes, for fun"... yeah, I'm ridiculous, we both know that XD.
As for the gauntlet, yeah, I was thinking the simpler one (simply because I've already drawn a number of very similary-looking segmented gauntlets... like this doesn't look like half of my other designs, haha. Also, I figured it would be easier to sheath a knife in a single plate. I haven't drawn them in yet (mea culpa), but there are 3 blades strapped to her back. I could say that if she's left-handed, so the plastron (the leather thing over half her chest, used in archery and fencing) and the extra chain mail would be for extra protection on the exposed side... but I didn't consider that when I was designing it, and just thought they looked cool XD(plus that's a pretty poorly designed plastron...)
Overall, I supposed its just rather impractical

(The only reason she looks like Lightning is the bangs and the eyes. The face (which I spent like less than 5 minutes on) is unimportant, so forget about it.

I like both! It's hard for me to say, but if I had to choose one, I would say. Probably the right, unsure though because they both are great. ^_^ Just choose what you like more though. XD
