I was looking at pictures of meowstic (probably my favorite new Pokemon) and thinking about how they don't actually look all that cat-like. That's when I decided to try and draw them the way I think they'd really look, if they weren't in anime.

I made a quick pencil sketch of how I thought they'd look and then used a ball-point pen to give it texture before scanning it. Once it was scan, I colored it digitally and gave it a little more depth.

I don't often do a lot of realistic style work, especially furry things since I'm lazy about textures, but I think it turned out pretty cool.
