Description
This is a Chess board I made out of Stained Glass. With the pieces which are also made of Stained Glass. The box was made by my brother-in-law for me.It's 2feet by 2feet square. 2½ inches per square, 2 inch radius bases on the pieces.
Oh, and the box has a rope light inside of it, and a difuser on the back of the board, so when you turn it on, the board glows across the entire thing.
I'd change the pawn's size if I ever did it again.

Yeah, I've actually sketched out the designs for another board, with the smaller pawns, that if I just had the tools, I'd do it. Unfortunately, I don't have the diamond saw I would need to make the pieces the way I want to.
And thanks for the comment, glad someone likes it, and no, the picture isn't as nearly as impressive as the actual board is, or so I've been told by several who saw it as a picture first, and were really amazed when they saw it in person.

I love this idea. I agree with you on the pawn, they ought to be a touch smaller. It would be great to see it lit up, I'm sure the picture doesn't do it justice.
