Another ref sheet, and for Jemico this time. All of my reapers have a little card-caste theme-thing going with them. xDD;;;;;;;
..........I don't know how to draw hollow bones.... But i think I should've used the sponge tool on it.

I think I should explain a couple things on how things work with my version of angels, devils, and grim reapers though.... In my little OC-Land, there's the Mortal Realm with humans and such, Heaven and Hell, and a mostly monochromatic mirror world of the Mortal Realm called the Other World. The Other World is where almost all souls, good or bad (though bad souls have their own 'special place'), go when they pass on; and they're taken there by reapers. Other World is the place where Emeth, Jem, and Diesel live.
Since the Other World is a mirror of the entire Earth, there are actually four Grim Reapers total that are in charge of a specific section of the world, and each Grim Reaper usually has up to four possible successors with which to pass the title of Grim Reaper onto. These successors also act as aides in a way to the Grim Reaper they work under and assist in collecting souls for their Grim Reaper to pass judgement on.

Reapers are never human, but are made using the souls of creatures that have a high symbolism of Death, usually black carrion-eating birds. All reapers use a scythe, but the Grim Reaper is the wielder of the true scythe of Death. Their scythe is the actual personification of Death itself, and is the source of all their power. 'Grim Reaper' is merely a moniker, and they are only temporary vessels for Death to work through. Death's scythe changes shape in accordance to the personality of the current Grim Reaper that wields it.

Angels and devils are actually human souls with extremely potent good/evil tendencies that have gained enough power to 'defy' Death and take on a new form.... All three castes are rare, so there aren't very many of them. Age-wise and health-wise angels and devils are immortal like reapers, but they CAN be killed; and if they are, they don't get to go to Other World, and simply fade away into nothingness. Heaven and Hell have a shaky truce with the reapers, so they try to ignore each other.
Reapers are often mistaken for angels, fallen ones especially, and so they are dubbed as ‘False Angels’ by angels and even devils as well.

Parents: Unknown.
Siblings: None, but the other reapers could be considered siblings.
Likes: Music, soft things, thigh-high stockings, games, books, order.
Dislikes: Talking, matching socks, angels, devils, breaking her nails, being asked too many/pointless questions.
Fears: Disorder.
Eye Color: Bright gold with black ‘whites’.
Hair Color: Jet-black.
Sexuality: Seemingly asexual.
Piercings: One in the lower cartilage of her left ear.
Tattoos: Symmetrical eye markings connected by a marking that goes over the bridge of her nose.

Personality: Jem’s apathetic and dispassionate indifference towards anything aside from her job of soul-collecting makes her seem outright unapproachable. However, when the only things you can have an ‘intelligent’ conversation with are wholeheartedly annoying and/or scheming to take your job, silence in itself doesn’t seem that bad; and as such she’s grown extremely used to not talking in general, to the point where it’s almost unnerving to talk at all….. She’s found that she would much rather ‘speak’ through expression and action rather than words, and if she HAS to talk at all, it’s with as few blunt words as possible. She is also very job-oriented, and actually doesn’t mind spending long amounts of time in the human world so long as nothing gets in the way of her work. However, even though Jem is seemingly stone-cold immovable, she CAN be bargained with in a way….. She can be ‘convinced’ to let you live a bit longer if you offer her an item that’s soft to the touch, especially if it’s velvet. Children are also somewhat of a weakness of hers, as their innocence and naivety lead her to be quite gentle and kind when dealing with them, to the point where she’s almost regretful to collect their souls….. Such is the case with her little secret ‘son’ Quinn. Using her adoptive child against her is one of the few ways to completely make her lose her cool and the stone-cold veil that she keeps up.

Story (The condensed version): Like Emeth and the other two reapers Martel and Syphus, Jem started out in life as mere ordinary bird in the Mortal Realm, and only through sheer luck did she end up becoming a reaper; as a raven she was simply at the right place at the wrong time. She was the youngest out of the four candidates, but was eventually chosen to become the next Grim Reaper because she was the most neutrally-inclined. Emeth cared little for fair judgment and only wanted more power, Syphus never truly accepted his new form and became withdrawn, and Martel was mentally unstable had a nasty habit of making deals with devils; but Jem had the selfless interest and a sense of fairness when dealing with souls that the fifth Grim Reaper thought ideal for his next successor, and thus he passed Death‘s scythe onto her, making her the sixth vessel of Death. Her rivals believed that she had secretly seduced the last Grim Reaper to get the title; however, she could care less what they thought as long as they remained in their place, behaved, and kept on doing their own jobs. Unfortunately her biggest fault was her fairness, for she was also able to understand compassion better than the other three, which culminated into her eventually breaking one of the big no-no rules for a reaper; she willingly saved a doomed soul without having struck an acceptable bargain…. A baby abandoned by his parents and left in a cold alleyway to perish. As she watched his life slowly tick away in front of her, she was struck with an intense feeling of compassion for the boy when he reached out and took ahold of her fingers, and so instead of taking his soul, she took the whole human child back with her and named him Quinn…. An act that turned him into an immortal like herself, but without any powers what-so-ever. As such, he is her big Achilles Heel, and the other three reapers, especially Emeth and Martel, are always on the look-out for the chance to harm Quinn or use him against Jemico in some way.

RANDOM FACTS OF AWESOME:
- All true reapers including Jem, have grey skin and golden eyes that glow; and meeting their gaze directly causes split-second paralysis… In this split-second they’ve judged the quality of your soul.
- Reapers stain their wings in red if they have black wings, or black if they have red wings. Less staining equals higher rank.
- Jem has the standard ‘death touch’, hence why her palms are always covered, and she can pull the soul right out of you if she touches you with uncovered hands long enough.
- Jemico’s wings are small for her size, but her bones are hollow like that of a bird’s in order for her to fly. Said bones are also very fragile.
- Communicates almost entirely in gestures…. She isn’t mute, but prefers only to talk when she wants to/absolutely has to.
- A fashion nightmare. She ALWAYS wears mismatched socks and gloves, and never wears shoes.
- She cannot resist a game, no matter what, if she's challenged to one.
- Music seems to entrance her, and if she hears someone with a good singing voice especially, she will often seek out and stalk said person for a few days just to hear them sing.
- Despises angels and devils, and can’t stand to be in their presence for too long.
- Jem is immortal in terms of dying from age or illness, but she CAN eventually will herself to die when she decides to hand the title of Grim Reaper to another. She can be killed in the human world if injured severely enough, and can be killed only by another reaper or creature of greater strength than her when in her own world.
- She absolutely hates being mistaken for/called an angel, and it’s one the easiest ways to annoy her.
- Children and people with a profound belief in and/or an unnaturally high connection to the supernatural are the only ones able to see her wings when she’s in the human world.
- The most evil of reaped souls are kept inside of Jem’s very body, and that evil is filtered out of herself through her eyes in the form of bloody tears. It doesn’t hurt her, and she can’t control it when it happens, so she just simply wipes them away.
- Jem’s scythe contains the souls of the five previous Grim Reapers, with whom she can speak to, and when she finally passes the title on, her own soul will join them in the scythe.
