I liked his old design a lot actually, there was just that something that bugged me a little about it and he also felt a bit plain compared to some other thirians, so I went full-on pokemon hand-tail on him and I think it works.
Yes, Enfield is actually Ace, the guy from BbB who is assisting the Red Medic in his long-running chimaera project.
He might and might-not be a (former) serial poisoner...
