Description Here we have another of the most infamous and renown Vuragian Warlords.
The only Northern Vuragian to reach such a level of infamy outside of the Vuragian Isle.
Vedar the Maneater.

West Vuragians hate East Vuragians, East Vuragians hate West Vuragians and both scoff at the South Vuragians who in turn sneer at their Eastern and Western cousins.
All three however, agree that the Northern Vuragians are utterly insane.

who else would settle near the creatures that lurk in the night?
Who else would till and toil sowing the cold harsh grounds of the northern isle?
Northern Vuragian would do just that.

Fewer in numbers than their southern cousins, the northern Vuragians are the only Vuragians to pursue agriculture and animal husbandry themselves, rather than setting captured thralls to perform this task.
Northern Vuragians have a very large number of Blood Ragers within their ranks, sometimes selling such afflicted kin to their southern cousins in return for goods and livestock.
Northern Vuragians are said to feast upon the flesh of other humanoids, including other Vuragians.
This makes their southern kin reluctant to allow any northern Vuragians onto their ships, for who would allow a man that sees his fellows as prey onto a voyage.

Whilst the truth of these claims are questionable, there are exceptions, one of them being the enormous beast of a man known as Vedar the Maneater.

Few if any know the history of the madman that united enough northern Vuragians to form a crew of his own.
Rumors however exists.
Whilst women are not allowed to join the warriors and wield weapons beyond the shield maidens.
Those afflicted with the blood rage, among Vuragians, referred to as Blood Ragers.
Are a second exception, for they cannot be seen as people, barely more than frothing beasts driven by a lust for blood, only kept from attacking their kin through training and heavy chains.
It is said that Vedar is the offspring of a female Blood Rager and a lesser giant, how such a pairing even happened is unknown and most tend to avoid thinking of it.
Others claim that Vedar is one of the beasts of the woods, posing as a Vuragian.

Regardless of the truth, Vedar is a Blood Rager himself, however is one of the very rare ones usually referred to as a "Sated Blood Rager".
These rare individuals have the same affliction as other Blood Ragers, however their lust for blood is somehow sated, making them able to function within Vuragian "society".
Whilst Vedars lust for blood does not drive him like a singular force as it does other Blood Ragers, to call him calm or even sane, is far from the truth.
Vedar raids not for gold and riches, not for fame and renown.

Vedar raids to devour.

Vedar shows no mercy and kills any and all in his path.
When the battle is done he and his band of Blood Ragers will feast on all available, be it man or beast, raw or cooked, Vedar and his Maneaters will feast.
He is dreaded by all other Vuragians as a monster of a man, though none have dared to challenge him.

He has a very high bounty posted by several different kingdoms, faction and organizations, demanding the beasts head for his crimes.
So far no one has been able to claim the bounty.

Recent rumors claim that Vedar was challenged by Haldar the Black, challenging the giants right to command.
Should this be true and should Haldar be the victor, Vedar would have no choice but to serve the new Donir Koning of the Isle.
