Kind of in the same style as "Louise Brooks-ish," so I'm tempted to call it a companion piece for no real reason other than they're vaguely similar. I don't know. I'm on a big 1920s kick.pencil-->black ink-->markers

I just got my hair bobbed and I keep trying to find a good way to wave it...so far nothing works. I'm very sad about that.

Fingerwaves are a MAJOR pain to do on someone else's head, let alone your own, but that's how those kinds of waves are done

I had finger waves put in for my senior prom, actually, and it took about three hours and so much styling goop that my hair was three shades darker...it looked really amazing, though. I just wish there were a quick, easy, pseudo-finger-wave I could do at home. I'm all of the lazy.

I'm sure my Grandmother had some sort of crimping tool - not those tight 1980's crimpers. Though I think she also used to use hair grips and setting lotion to pin the curls in place.

My mom has a waving iron, but for whatever reason it just doesn't work. At some point I'm going to find some clips and try to set it as it dries.

I think the only way to make finger curls is to use tone of setting lotion and just pin it and clip it until it's dry - maybe even sleeping with a hairnet hahahaha....

1920s were a pretty cool time. I haven't lived through it personally, but I've read the history books.
