After finally getting my greedy little mitts on the book, I fell in love with Erik again. Movie!Erik is angsty and hot, Play!Erik is mad with grief and bitterness, and Book!Erik is basically good-natured but snarky. And insane, of course, but in a completely different and much more frightening way.Just some random doodles done far too late at night after working on some more serious projects. I know he's not terrifyingly hideous or anything, but I'll work on that...some day. For now...he's almost anime-ish. Oh dear. >.<

Lol, my favorites are "I's the simplest little trick" and the "You can't take a hint, can you?!" xD it also looks like the bottom one could be saying something along the lines of "Are you thick in the head?!"

I loved rediscovering the character of Erik when I read the book for the first time. I always knew that he was sarcastic, but geeze! Leroux had a wicked sense of humor which I adored.
Cute doodles, but I can't read the text. Oh, well, I suppose it's good enough to see those hilarious facial expressions.

I think this may be the coolest style of drawing Erik I've seen, or at least the most in line with the image I have in my head. He's not pretty with a bit of acne like the movie version, but he doesn't look like a skeleton or bad doodle of Voldemort like some versions I've seen. I never picture him being overly corpselike because he has so much inner life, and you've captured his personality perfectly: good-natured but snarky. I love the part with the Persian going, "...yes..." Yes, you HAVE murdered people. Heh!

It's really hard to draw him terrifyingly hideous! Especially when my sister gets sick of me continuously asking her if she'd still like to kiss that face.
