You can interpret this whichever way you want to (much like their relationship in the books!).Personally, the idea of Ron and Hermione getting together (or, at least, staying together) leaves me cold. They're horrible for each other--the only thing they have in common is Harry and fighting on the same side of the war, really. Nothing that's important to one is important to the other, and that's the basis for a pretty miserable relationship, I think...

HOWever.... I can't deny that the lyrics to this song fit their book-relationship perfectly. And since my love for the Beatles over-ran my dislike of the ship (and of Ron), I had to draw it.

Yeah, but opposites attract. I think it's adorable really; the way they can't get along then fall in love. If you've ever seen ICarly it's sort of the same thing. Carly's two best friends Sam and Freddy do nothing but fight and then Sam realizes she's in love with Freddy and poor Carly is like Harry. All surprised and not sure what to think about the whole thing.

Dude, that was the freakin' Malacrux ! And he is kind of jealous, and that thing didn't help a bit. He didn't go to his Mum, he went to Bill to clear his mind. And anyway, he's no coward ! He is in Gryffindor, and he let the Queen of the Chessboard (no idea how to spell that) wack him down to help his friends. He went with Harry in the Chamber of Secrets, he was with him through the Ministry, and lots more. COWARD is not the right word, nor any word with the same meaning, to Ron Weasley.

Alright, I'm judt going to stop and agree because you have very valid points. Coward was not the correct word, I agree. I've been a little sore with the Weasley's ever since Fred died. I tend to get defensive and hate on Ron. I don't know why Ron, but he always makes me explode into angry rants since the Deathly Hallows. Forgive meh?

Thanks. I've heard the phrase, I just don't think it's true. I've never been able to get on well with someone who didn't have a single interest in common with me. Though in the case of R/Hr, it's not so much just the opposites as the way they treat each other. But that's just me.

Yeah, I can't help it. They both read as incest to me, but I'll admit that R/Hr is the hotter incest, because there's passion, even if it is mostly "OMG, I HATE YOU AND YOU'RE A MEANIE!" passion.
Poor Ron. I agree, he needs serious kicking. But Hermione could use a few canaries in the face too--she's so mean! *sob*

Thanks. But as to the pairing... nah, I'm not gonna get over it. For the record, I hate Harry/Hermione too. It reads like incest. Ice-cold incest. But Ron/Hermione reads kinda like incest too...only, not ice-cold and bland like H/Hr.
It's written in stone and I know that. I certainly don't expect it to change. But I think it's horribly written, and after HBP, I've changed my mind--Ron's okay for a relationship. Hermione's too immature and self-absorbed for one. The ship feels like Rowling decided at the beginning that it would happen, but that it's not flowing. They're so cruel to each other, and Hermione's positively abusive (not just to Ron, though. In general).
But that's me...I can go on a rant against R/Hr for hours. (unlike H/Hr...you can only argue against that for five minutes--they've never expressed any intrest, and their interactions are about as platonic as toast).

Nifty~ ^_^ You really did do a good job on the freckles, but I have to admit--because they're mostly all the same color and fade away around the mouth and some other areas while still showing up on the side of the neck (ugh that was long) they feel a wee bit off. Sorry. ><;;; It's kinda hard to explain, but, you know. God knows I'd never even try to do that even though I have an entire family for reference. >< ;;; Kudos and love!

But I'm so glad someone has addressed this. I can't read HP fanfiction anymore, and most art annoys me, and this is one of the main reasons. Pairing the two together just completely destroys their canon personalities, and Harry gets left like a fifth wheel. Why people can't write fiction without any romantic pairings is beyond me... so hurrah for you, drawing this!

I agree with your statement about fanfics without pairings. That's probably why I look back on the pre- Order of the Phoenix days favorably, because in that short time, I was actually able to find stories that were mostly action/humor/other-awesome-things-centered, not just LOLMYGODROMANCE!!! And many of them were on independent fan sites, so I wonder if that had anything to do with it...

Actually I don't like any of the main three, but I really like that you made Ron tall! No one ever makes Ron tall anymore. . . Sorry short Rons annoy me almost as much as the fact that everyone has dropped the marauders down to three

Thanks! Yeah, in all honesty, I'm not that keen on the three main characters, and I definately am against any of them being paired with the others. I think the most plausible ship we'd ever see would be Hermione/Percy, but...*shrug*
